Following the release of their second, "Calendar’", in November 2012 and a successful European tour, Talitres was encouraged to make this formidable debut - recorded in 2010 in Rostov-On-Don - available and give it its first official European release.

Coming after a number self-released CDRs singles & EPs - "Horse" 2008; ‘Bear’ 2009; ‘Ghost’ 2009, "Alps" was recorded in two weeks by Vladislav Parshin and Maxim Polivanov. They borrowed old soviet amps and reverb pedals from their friends to record the guitars and voices, before putting down the drums at Roman Belenkiy’s home studio. The result is a collection of songs played previously only with drum machine, before Vladislav invited Roman to join the band.

The album is an unmistakable clash of new wave, a distinct British 80s sound and a smattering of dance beats and monotone vocals. Inspired by some of the best bands of the past few decades, Motorama cite The Strokes and The Coral in particular, as bands they grew up listening to.
