Motorama new album "Poverty"
Motorama new album "Poverty"
Prior to their second full-lenght "Calendar" (2012), Motorama was a wonderfully kept secret. From the port city of Rostov-on-Don, Southern Russia, the band was producing a Manchester-inspired cold wave, icy and hypnotic. Icy but not frozen, hypnotic but awake.
Before long, their compositions gained in clarity, lyricism and assurance: the prominent rock of the first recordings now opening its doors to a romantic and melodic pop.
Praised by critics and audience alike, establishing themselves as one of the musical sensations of the moment, the quintet visited many territories (the good old continental Europe - many times over, the vast and intimidating slavic land, the Peruvian and Mexican success stories, ....) delivering with each tour, through exciting and generous shows, those immediate and addictive pleasures.
The gems of their new album "Poverty" will reveal themselves in the midst of this winter (26/01/15), and to perfect this new release, Motorama will play a couple of shows in Russia (in november) and outside Russia early 2015:

Micah P. Hinson & the Gospel of Progress - CD / Vinyl2LP gatefold + mp3.
“Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress” is the Texan singer-songwriter’s fabulous folk noir debut. Produced by chamber pop collective The Earlies, the musician poured every feeling of heartbreak, loss, and isolation into these 13 songs.
Released late 2104 on the English indie label Sketchbook Records, the album received excellent reviews from critics captivated by Hinson’s stark exploration of the emotional fall-out from a failed relationship. Following three sold out UK tours in the autumn/winter of 2004 with The Earlies, Iron and Wine and a full band headline tour, the year ended with the album in numerous End Of Year Best Of polls, including Uncut, Time Out and The Independent - it also reached no.5 in Rough Trade Shop’s 100 Best Albums Of 2004!
Sold out and long unavailable, we are very proud to re-issue a remastered version of this astonishing album. It is also be available on vinyl for the first time, as a gatefold, double LP, featuring bonus track ‘Can’t Change A Thing’ (originally released on ‘The Day Texas Sank to the Bottom of the Sea’ 10-inch vinyl.

About this thirty something, The Callstore, based in London for 15 years, we know both a lot... and very little.
Discovered in late 2010 through the third Telescopage compilation (released by the explosive collective “PAN!”) and the song ‘Begging Oh My Darling’, we knew back then that our ears would not be able to let go. Those dark and hypnotic vocals, this palpable fragility, this magical melancholy, those heartfelt lyrics, were for us.
The debut album, "Save No One", self-written, recorded and produced is a compedium, a teeming universe, a great record, bruised and profound, that plays like an equilibrist on a tight rope.
If the artist describes this album as a way to share an experience, rather than a conscious decision to come out of anonymity, it is because he considers - rightly perhaps - that music generally speaks for itself and that everything around it often resembles little else than a shadow play and a throw of confetti, something he is as yet unsure he wants to be a part of.
As he concedes having enough music in store for two or three albums, along with an insatiable desire to carry on writing, we lend our attention to these twelve sensitive and poignant songs.
The Callstore "Save No One" 1. Intro 2. Lovers Lane 3. Come On Then 4. Thou Shall Be Broken 5. Each To Their Own 6. Sad Sometimes 7. The Departed 8. In Between Tricks The Magician Bows 9. Pointless Continue To Break 10. The Letting Go 11. Rich Man 12. Above And Beneath Your Feet
