Retour en studio pour ce groupe mythique de Cleveland. Le premier enregistrement studio depuis 30 ans.

Lors de quelques dates triomphales aux USA et suite à la demande de leurs fans, ROCKET FROM THE TOMBS décide, dans sa formation originelle, David Thomas (Pere Ubu), Cheetah Chrome (Dead Boys) et Craig Bell avec le guitariste Richard Lloyd (Television) et Steve Mehlman, de revisiter le répertoire du groupe. Nouvelles et assurément explosives versions de ce répertoire hors pair.

En février 2003, et pour la première fois depuis 27 ans, le groupe retrouve la scène à l'occasion du festival Disastodrome - UCLA à Los Angeles, avec en invité de marque le guitariste de Television Richard Lloyd. La presse s'enthousiasme de ces prestations lives et consacre ce groupe légendaire. Réalisé à l'origine afin de pouvoir combler leurs fans à la fin des concerts, Rocket Redux comprend les enregistrements studios de leur set-list de concert. Enregistré, produit et mixé par Richard Lloyd dans son propre studio, le résultat final conquiert le groupe qui décide finalement de lui confèrer également une sortie commerciale.

Rocket From The Tombs sera en tournée en Europe suite à la sortie de ce nouvel album. Assurément, un événement à ne pas manquer.
